GutterRx™ are the preferred Punched-Type Guard for The Gutter Guy. Punched guards consist of an aluminum sheet with a punched hole pattern. These guards are extremely sturdy, with mounting on the front lip of the gutter as well as to the back making them great for being in high wind or even snowy areas. The dark painted finish keeps them from reflecting light, and makes them almost invisible from the ground. They DO tend to ‘shelf’ debris on their flat horizontal surface, though it’s only an aesthetic issue as the gutter is still functioning clog-free underneath. This type of guard is an excellent choice for many homes in East Texas, though we try to avoid it on steep or metal roofs because the flat surface tends to splash and overshoot in intense rain.
